No Way!

Well I never knew that the editor of The Beano is called Euan Kerr. Think about that name for a minute, read it out loud…

It makes those halcyon childhood days spent reading it seem just that little bit funnier :)

George Best.

I find it a little disconcerting with George Best hours from death after a lifetime of alcohol abuse, that so many people across the UK will no doubt be toasting/mourning him by getting completely and dangerously shitfaced during the inaugural weekend of 24-hour licensing, whilst completely failing to see the deeply sad irony of their actions.

I’ve been on more than my fair share of benders, and even with the memories of how crap I would feel the morning after the night before, I’d just keep repeating the process, so I’m not preaching to anyone - just reflecting on a sad end to an old legend’s life.

That’s all for now; hope everybody (to whom it applies) had a happy Thanksgiving.

The Emperor is Stark Bollock Naked

“She was like ‘do you realise you’ve still got the price tag on your hat?’ I was like ‘yeah, it’s fashion’. She just walked off like she was a bit scared.”

“Coming from the manor and being the type of person I am, when you get something new, you want people to know it’s new,” says Sway… “So when you’ve got a tag on your hat it means you’ve just got the hat.”

Sometimes I just want to beat the purveyors of ‘yoof culture’ over the head with their own profound sense of stupidity. If we weren’t nearly half way through November already I would have sworn that this article was an April Fool’s joke.

OCC: Paul Sr Series #5

I took my visiting family up to Orange County Choppers last weekend, and while we were there I took photographs of all the bikes in their store/showroom. There is a gallery of all the photographs elsewhere on this site but for now here is the decidedly old-school Paul Sr Series #5 bike.

What was, was… and what is, is….

My parents and little brother have been visiting us for the past two weeks now, which has been really fun because I’ve missed them all so much this year; I will have to write more about the trip at some point…

On Saturday I took them all to Orange County Choppers up in New York, as my brother and Dad are both fans of the show American Chopper; we were supposed to go there the weekend before when a bike raffle was scheduled to raise money for a local hospice up there, which would have been cool since the guys from the shop were set to be there to announce the winner of the bike, but it got postponed until December at the last minute, which kinda put a dampener on those plans :/

Nonetheless, we persevered and decided that it would still be cool to go up to the store and see all the bikes they have on display, especially the POW/MIA bike which is probably my favourite Teutul creation.

So, we arrive at the store, get out of the car and hear the unmistakable rumble of a v-twin engine… and into the car park comes Paul Teutul Sr on a bike that I’ve never seen before!
