Joss Whedon To Write Buffy Comic

Joss Whedon, creator of Buffy The Vampire Slayer, is writing a six-part, canonical Buffy mini-series for Dark Horse Comics. The series will tell the story of what happened to the Sunnydale gang after the apocalyptic events of the seventh and final season of the TV show, which ended three years ago.

The first volume of this highly anticipated series will be available in October 2006.#

DangerDoom - Sofa King

DangerDoom, yesterday DangerDoom (Danger Mouse & MF Doom) have released another track from their online-only EP Occult Hymn, available on Adult Swim’s website. “Sofa King” is a remixed version of the track that first appeared on their “The Mouse And The Mask” album from 2005.

HBO Are Fucknuts

Having spent the weekend watching the entire first season of HBO’s Deadwood, I now find myself suffering from a kind of post-marathon potty mouth. Consequently, if I wind up calling anybody a “Goddamn Motherfuckin’ Cocksucker” at any point over the next few weeks I hope nobody takes offence.

On a more serious note, if the rumours are to be believed and the upcoming third season of the show may be the last, then I have to wonder just what the fuck is HBO thinking? Over the last couple of years their best programmes have either been cancelled (Carnivale) or ended their series naturally (Oz, Six Feet Under, Sex and The City), Curb Your Enthusiasm’s future seems to be in limbo for the time being, and with The Sopranos set to wrap up next year, the greatest TV show in the world will be gone too.

First Glimpse

This is the first photo of our newly adopted kittens, Sylvester and Michael. We adopted them from the awesome Pawsitive Kneads foster home, and brought them home this morning. Michael (the grey one) is a furry little ball of energy while Sylvester (black and white) is a little shy and quiet. Expect photographs of almost cavity-inducing sweetness.

The Sopranos: The Video Game

The Sopranos is one of the greatest television programmes of all time. This is not a matter of opinion, it is simply a fact of life; The sky is blue, birds go ‘tweet’, The Sopranos rules. Now however, game publisher THQ is set to release a videogame version of the series in October of this year for PS2 and Xbox 360. The game is said to be set between the current season and next year’s concluding mini-season thing. Locations such as Satriale’s Pork Store and the Bada Bing! are to be featured within the game (though there probably won’t be any Hot Coffee mods :P).

This Sopranos features the likenesses and voices of stars James Gandolfini (Tony), Michael Imperioli (Christopher), Steven Van Zandt (Silvio) and Tony Sirico (Paulie). #

Time Is On My Side

01:02:03 04.05.06

While the American geeks may have prematurely shot their sequential-time related loads last month (at two minutes and three seconds past one in the morning on April 5th 2006, or 01:02:03 04.05.06 as their date format dictates) the rest of us have been able to keep it in our pants a little longer (hmm, I think I may stop the trouser-related analogies now…). Even though I may live in the US, there will always be a part of my heart that marches to the beat of GMT.

Thus, while this entry will technically be posted at 8:02pm EST tonight, by the reckoning of the motherland it will be 01:02:03 on the 4th of May 2006 (04/05/06).

A Patchy Webserver

On the day that my wife and I discussed the possibility of setting up our own webserver to host our sites (due to rising hosting costs), I tried to open up the Apache Software Foundation’s website in order to look something up regarding their awesome webserver software, and was greeted with this little message:

I am, apparently, easily amused. I guess we’d better just bite the bullet and shell out for Windows Server 2003 with IIS instead…..

Pfft, yeah right.
