Simpler Spelling Sucks

Advocates for simpler spelling argue that the dumbing down of the English language is a good thing.

They even picket the national spelling bee finals, held every year in Washington, costumed as bumble bees and hoisting signs that say “Enuf is enuf but enough is too much” or “I’m thru with through.”

Erm, no - stop it before you hurt yourselves, you demons of stupidity. The answer to falling standards of literacy isn’t to ’simplify’ the English language; a more sensible and logical action would be for these people to start campaigning for more funding for core educational subjects, instead of wasting time on crap lyk encurajing peepul tu tork and ryt lyk vis (even after one sentence of this nonsense I feel like a monumental twat).

These people seem determined to turn the world into one great big festering MySpace.
